My name is Derek Cheng. I'm a junior currently majoring in computer science and minoring in music and linguistics at Cornell University.

As a developer, I have experience building responsive apps on web and mobile platforms. I am interested in the application of linguistic principles in software, such as natural language processing and speech recognition.

In my spare time, I like to make music. I am an active musician on campus and sing in two vocal ensembles - the Cornell University Glee Club, Cornell's premier men's choir, and its a cappella subset group The Hangovers.

Although I currently go to school in the US, I was born in Japan, and grew up in Canada and China. So don't ask me where I'm from, because I don't know.
